The Arizona Skin Cancer Foundation provides fun, engaging, appropriate lessons and activities that help children and adults discover how to stay sun-safe in Arizona’s intense UV environment.

Lessons:
- How desert animals have adapted to thrive in Arizona’s hot, sunny, and dry environments.
- What your shadow reveals about the intensity of the sun.
- Why do animals in the wild use sun protection?
- What zoo animals use sunscreen and why?
Craft Activities:
- UV-sensitive bead projects that visually reinforce sun safety habits.
Face “painting” with colored sunscreen sticks to make sun protection fun and creative.
Sun-Smart Creators Poster Contest:
- Participants of all ages design posters that promote sun-safe behaviors, with prizes awarded for creativity.
